Allow me to re-introduce myself.
Hi, friends, and happy Friday. I am here for accountability, and checking in. Some of you know me and some of you don't, so allow me to reintroduce myself. My name is Gretchen. I am a single mother to two fantastic sons, a full time self employed photographer, a cat mom, and yes, my hair is naturally that shade of red.
The past several weeks have been quite the whirlwind. My new home is *almost* completely set up, I have paint colors for every room picked out (if you follow me on and watch my stories, then you know what a struggle this has been!) and I have had new client work pouring in from all corners. On top of work and life becoming steadily busier (yay!) I sadly had to say goodbye to my V.A. (nooooo!).
Life. But that means I may have been a little slow to respond to some of you, and it means the giveaways and pet projects that I committed to months or even years ago have been moved to the back burner. I still care about all of these things and I promise, they will all see the light of day as soon as I can muster. I promise you I am still here under this Mountain of New, slowly climbing my way to the top.
I also recently made the choice to begin rebranding, which means a sparkly new website, a new logo, paper goods, and yes, potentially new offerings for my clients as well. Onward and upward, am I right?
Taking that plunge was a scary one. To give up any control over my business is a serious act of letting go. For the past two years, I have dedicated myself to building my brand as best as I could, but I believe from the bottom of my heart that I have now outgrown what I have been able to built. I believe that investing back into my business is now the right move for me to make.
I am on the hunt for a new V.A (maybe?), and have found a brilliant graphic and web designer that I can trust with the future of my livelihood and build something for my clients that is beyond what I would have otherwise been capable of. Delegation is key for growth and success, and the growing pains have been real, but am taking the leap.
As for me, I will be blogging more. Taking more photos, editing everything, and answering all your calls, DMs, messages, inquiries, and meeting all of you for wine and coffee in between. I am so blessed for each and every one of my new, old, and potential clients and friends, and I just wanted to say thank you for being patient, hanging in there with me, and helping me grow.
